I began taking piano lessons from Dorothy Harwood several years ago as an adult beginner in my late fifties.  She does a terrific job with adult beginners.  Although I have a music background playing the flute, learning piano is a completely different story and has been very challenging.

Dorothy helps calm the frustration and never judges when work and life get in the way of practicing.  She has shown me great patience and my lessons have been lessons for the piano as well as life itself.  I would recommend her to any adults whether beginners or more advanced players.  I have also seen her excellent teaching methods with children, so parents would also be wise to select her as a piano teacher for their children.  Thank you Dorothy for helping me stay patient as I learn to play the piano and feel the joy of my progress.
